Welcome to Emanuel Lutheran Church! We are a “Vibrant family of believers who want to grow in faith in Jesus Christ and share the Gospel.” If you are looking for a place to grow in understanding the Word of God and want a community where you can ask questions without feeling guilty or stupid, come on in. If you’re curious about Christianity and would like someone to talk with, we would be happy to sit down and talk with you. If you’ve been burned out and turned off by other churches that expect you to be the perfect Christian rather than allowing you to be honest about your shortcomings, come on in.
When you come here, you’re going to be fed and nourished with God’s amazing grace through His own revealed Word and sacraments. But more than that, you’re going to be taught and equipped to actually read the Bible with the insights and experiences of generations of Christian thinkers and doers who have come before you. If you think that God’s Word has nothing challenging to say to you, you might be surprised by what you hear. You’re going to be called on to dig deeper, reflect more honestly, confess more consistently, and give thanks to the God who loves you enough to create you and save you. God is so committed to you that He gave you His own Son and shares His own Holy Spirit to work in and through, and despite you, towards a day when you will stand in God’s presence as you were always intended to be.
